How are living things organised?

How do cells work together?

Together, cells form an organism.

Cells that carry out the same function group together to form a tissue.

Tissue groups together to form organs.

Organs work together to form systems.

When all the systems work together they form an organism.

An organism is a complete living thing.

Cells

What are cells?

Cells are the building blocks of all living things.

A cell is the smallest living unit that make up a living thing.

Unicellular organisms are made up of just one cell, while multicellular organisms are made up of more than one cell.

Let's investigate!

M. Ringer is a trick, an acrostic to remember the seven characteristics of living things:

                                                 M - Movement
                                                 R - Respiration
                                                 I - Interaction
                                                 N - Nutrition
                                                 G -Growth
                                                 E - Excretion

The Parts of a Scientist

What is a Scientists?

Scientific Method

To find out the right information about how the world around us works, Scientists use the Scientific Method.

The Scientific Method consists in follow some stages, step by step to discover the truth.

These stages are:

RESEARCH: This is when you find out information and you ask a question.

HYPOTESHIS: This is when you predict the answer to your question.

METHOD: This is the process you follow when doing an investigation.

RECORD: This is when you observe and write what happened.

CONCLUSION: Thisi is when you decide if your hypothesis was correct.
